Privacy Policy

Effective July 30, 2026 · Last updated August 13, 2026

This policy explains what Strata9, a product of Strata9 Inc., collects, why, and the choices you have. The subsurface records in Strata9 — wells, permits, production, injection, and pipelines — come from public government sources and are not about you; this policy is about your information.

2 How we use information

3 How we share information

We do not sell your personal information. We share it only as described here:

A listing you publish is public. Its content — including what you are offering, the price, the description, any photographs, the county and well it refers to, and the seller name you display — is visible to anyone using Strata9. Do not put anything in a listing that you do not want public. The evidence you send us to verify a claim, and the operator number you enter, are not published.

4 Cookies and local storage

We use cookies and browser local storage to keep you signed in, remember your preferences, and understand how the service is used so we can improve it. You can control cookies through your browser settings; disabling some may affect how the service works.

5 Security

We use administrative, technical, and physical safeguards designed to protect your information, including encryption in transit and access controls on stored data. No method of transmission or storage is perfectly secure, so we cannot guarantee absolute security.

6 Data retention

We keep your information for as long as your account is active and as needed to provide the service, then for a reasonable period to meet legal, tax, accounting, and dispute-resolution needs. You can ask us to delete your account and associated content, subject to those obligations. Work saved only on your device, such as notes, pins, and a watchlist made before you signed in, stays there until you clear your browser storage or sign in and it moves to your account.

Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, delete, or port your personal information, or to object to or restrict certain processing. To make a request, contact us using the details below. We will not discriminate against you for exercising these rights.
